Therapy involves meeting with a psychologist to address psychological, behavioral, relational or psychosocial stressors. Therapy is a collaborative process based on the relationship between you and your psychologist. The psychologist provides a supportive, attentive, objective and confidential environment that allows you to talk through your concerns or problems. Psychologists are different from a friend to talk to, as we are extensively trained in human behavior and emotions. Therapy can assist in helping you to improve your overall functioning in relationships, at work and within yourself in order to lead a happier and healthier life.
We provide therapy services to adults, who are experiencing psychological, behavioral or psychosocial stressors. We use our professional training to assess your presenting problem and collaboratively develop an individualized treatment plan. We work within a cognitive-behavioral, client-centered framework to provide psycho-education to our clients about their disorder, as well as help to develop adaptive coping strategies to deal with the stressors.
We believe that the therapist-client relationship is most successful when you feel comfortable and connect with your psychologist. To that end, we would be happy to schedule a complementary phone consultation with you.
